The Body Shop Roseflower Spring 2009 Collection

I went to my local the Body Shop today during lunch break, and got to look at the Roseflower Spring Collection. This collection has a very pastel, romantic-y kind of theme going on. It consists of 2 blushes, 2 eyeshadows, 3 lipsticks and a radiance stick.

Roseflower blush:
L to R: Fusia, Pink

These blushes are priced at RM79 each. Each of them as a really pretty embossed pink rose design in the middle. There are two colors: Fusia, which is a mid-to-deep rosy color; Pink, which is a pale pink color. Both are very wearable on a day-to-day basis. The colors itself are quite matte, while most of the shimmers comes from the embossed rose design. They came out a bit too chalky to my liking, but the pigmentation is at the okay-level.

Roseflower Radiance Stick:

This pretty looking baby is priced at Rm58 each. It contains Community Trade marula oil that will help holding moisture on the skin. The consistency is quite creamy and the pigmentation is actually surprisingly good. It turns into powder once it dries down. As a bonus, this actually smell quite pleasant. It's like a light rose scent.

Personally, I'm not found of stick and cream blushes/highlighters. And if any of you are on the same boat as me, this might be a good chance to give it a try.

Roseflower eyeshadows:

L to R: Sunshine Gold, Mint Green

Next on the line are the eyeshadows. This time, Body Shop offers two very different shades: Sunshine Gold and Mint Green. Sunshine Gold is a pale yellow-gold with shimmers and Mint Green is a pale aqua-green with shimmers. Mint Green has more blue in it than green in my opinion. Both colors are actually quite matte by themselves, if not for the embossed sliver rose design in the middle. Both eyeshadows are a bit chalky and the color payoff is not that good. I actually have to swatch a couple of times to get Sunshine Gold to show on the back of my hand. Each of the eyeshadow is priced at RM55.

Roseflower lipsticks:

These lipsticks come in three shades: Soft Pink, True Pink and Deep Pink. I didn't had the chance to swatch these, as I was in a hurry to go grab something to eat (was very hungry). But by just looking at the product itself, the colors do not look that unique.

Overall, the packaging is very pretty and cute. Other than that, this collection is not as special as I would like it to be. I'm totally skipping everything from the collection, and save some money for the up coming M.A.C Hello Kitty collection. =)

Did you get anything from the collection? What do you think?
